A forum was held in the northern border province of Lang Son on December 3 to seek ways to enhance the agro-forestry-fisheries trade between Vietnam and its neighbour China.
Vietnam's gross domestic product (GDP) expanded by about 7.4 percent in the third quarter and 6.82 percent during the first nine months of 2024 compared to the respective periods of last year, said the General Statistics Office (GSO) on October 6.
Vietnam has recorded US$11.8 billion in agro-forestry-fisheries trade surplus over the first eight months of 2024, surging 68.4% year on year, reported the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).
The ago-forestry-fishery sector raked in US$24.14 billion from exports during the past five months of the year, up 21% against the same period from last year, according to data provided by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
