ZURICH -- Vietnamese singer Mỹ Linh, her daughter Mỹ Anh, and the Anh Em Band performed in Zurich on August 17 at a concert organised by KIBV – Keep It Beautiful Vietnam and Empower Women Asia.

The event attracted a diverse audience and featured a blend of traditional and contemporary Vietnamese music. Mỹ Linh’s performance was complemented by Mỹ Anh’s modern interpretations, with the Anh Em Band providing a fusion of musical styles.

"I felt like I was back in Việt Nam,” said expatriate Vy Pham. “Hearing Mỹ Linh live was a dream come true. It was a moment of pride for all of us to see our culture celebrated in such a beautiful way here in Zurich.”

Foreign attendees also expressed their appreciation for the cultural experience. “I’ve always been fascinated by Vietnamese culture, and this concert gave me a deeper appreciation for it,” said Michael Ischmidt. “The music, the fashion, the entire experience was truly special. It was an honour to be a part of this celebration.”

The evening also featured an Ao Dai collection by designer Anna Hoang, whose "Love Collection," previously showcased at London Fashion Week, highlighted the beauty of Việt Nam’s traditional attire with intricate designs and vibrant colours.

The event underscored the importance of cultural exchange and supporting meaningful initiatives. “This concert was more than just entertainment; it was a bridge connecting our cultures,” said audience member Trang Nguyen. “It’s wonderful to see how events like this can bring people together and support causes that make a real difference.” VNS
