This was held as part of activities towards the fifth economic forum slated for September 24 to September 27 in Ho Chi Minh City with a focus on industrial transformation.
Nguyen Ngoc Hoa, chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association (HuBa), said the award aims to both honour and encourage enterprises to comply with regulations relating to waste treatment arising in the production and business process and those who conduct research on environmentally-friendly products.
Simultaneously, the prize also enhances the responsibility of firms for environmental protection towards meeting sustainable growth targets. The award-winning firms are operating in the fields of consumer goods, garment and textiles, distribution, retail, tourism, services, and construction.
The highlight of this year’s award is that winning enterprises see the participation of many large domestic and global distribution systems, which in turn will assist enterprises in improving competitiveness, and further integrating into the international economy.
