The tournament has attracted athletes from the United States, China, Australia, Hungary, India, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan (China), Hong Kong (China), Indonesia, Malaysia, Norway, Poland, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, said a representative from the Vietnam Tennis Federation.
It offers a valuable platform for young tennis players to compete and gain world ranking points, showcasing a diverse international participation. The players will compete in both singles and doubles categories for boys and girls. They will earn points for their world junior rankings, with the singles champions receiving 30 points and doubles winners 20 points each.
The ITF U18-J30 Tennis Tournament is an important event in the International Tennis Federation’s (ITF) junior tennis circuit. For young players, it offers a great opportunity for young Vietnamese players to hone in their skills, develop strategies, and gain confidence by competing against international opponents.
The tournament also serves as a platform to strengthen their mental toughness, an essential quality for players aspiring to progress in professional tennis.
