Among the swimmers are Nguyen Thuy Hien and Nguyen Quang Thuan, both of whom had helped the local junior team secure second place at this year’s 46th South-East Asia Age Group Swimming Championships 2024.
Nguyen Thuy Hien stood out with four gold, one silver, and two bronze medals for the 14 to 15 age group.
Meanwhile, Nguyen Quang Thuan took home two gold, two silver, and one bronze medals in the 16 to 18 age group.
He previously represented Vietnam at the World Aquatics Championships in 2022 and 2023. This marks the first time that Thuan will take part in the World Aquatics Swimming Championships (25m).
The forthcoming World Swimming Championships will mark Hungary's first time as host of the World Championships in a 25m pool.
