The event was jointly held by the Korean Embassy in Vietnam in co-ordination with the Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee with the aim of strengthening cultural exchange between the Republic of Korea (RoK) and Vietnam, especially with Vietnamese localities popular among Koreans such as Da Lat.
Upon addressing the event, Choi Seung Jin, director of the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam, emphasized that the Korean Cultural Day in Da Lat will be an attractive destination for tourists when coming to the city this December, especially when the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival is taking place with a diverse range of activities.
At the event, visitors were given the opportunity to make Korean kimchi under the direct guidance of Korean culinary instructor Kim Eun Ja.
In addition, there were various pavilions set up for visitors to experience wearing the traditional Korean hanbok, making handmade Korean kites, flying kites by using virtual reality technology, as well as activities to learn about the culture, tourism, and products of Da Lat city.
